Rompetrol, USD 10 million investments for the development of its own network of stations for fuel di

Rompetrol Downstream, the retail division of the Rompetrol Group, finalized, during the period January-April, the construction of 14 new stations for fuel distribution (five stations of its own and nine mobile Rompetrol Expres stations), the total value of the investment reaching over USD10 million.

“In order to get closer to our customers, but also to respond to their needs, this year we intend to continue with the extension and consolidation of the fuel distribution station network and also with the development of new premium products. In 2009, we plan to open other 75 stations in Romania, out of which 5 of our own, 40 Rompetrol Expres stations and 25 internal bases, dedicated to the large fuel consumers” says Titov Buzescu, General Manager of Rompetrol Downstream and Retail and Marketing Vice-president of the Rompetrol Group.

By concluding these investments, the company created almost 110 new workplaces. The stations are located in Cluj, Constanţa, Târgu Mureş, Goleşti and Tecuci, and the Rompetrol Expres stations in Iaşi (the locality Bivolari), Olt (Şerbăneşti and Redea), Brăila (Victoria and Gropeni), Argeş (Lunca Corbului), Gorj (Ţicleni), Teleorman (Buzescu) and Dolj (Motăţei).

The company recently included in its station network and the partner stations, the new line of Alto premium fuels, dedicated to maintaining the vehicles’ performances. Alto101 gasoline ensures an improvement of the vehicle’s performances, of the engine’s output and reliability, while the Alto55 diesel gas offers, by its high cetane number, an increased power of the engine and a significant decrease of the fuel consumption.

Rompetrol Downstream also launched in March QProTek-t, the first program for ensuring the optimal functioning of the refuelling system in Romania for the vehicles using the Efix and Alto fuels. The registration of the customers in the QProTek-t program is free of charge and available on www.qprotekt.ro or in any Rompetrol station.

Rompetrol Downstream operates nationally over 450 gas stations and 7 fuel storage warehouses, being the first network trading exclusively Euro standard fuels since 2003.
